I want to make a headboard for a Queen bed. I have no plans and have looked at a few pictures and some beds in furniture stores. I have seen none I liked or else they were too complicated. I have moderate skills, a failrly complete shop and want something simple (Shaker perhaps) Can anyone help with plans photo or source for plans.Thank you

A good starting point might be the Taunton book "Beds" by Jeff Miller. ISBN: 1-56158-254-9.
For a "Classic Cherry Bed" see Woodsmith Vol. 18/No. 108 (Dec. 1996), which I got from the back-issue store on the 'net.
For a "Pencil Post Bed" see Woodsmith Vol. 26/ No. 153 (Jan. 2004) - current.
For basic bed construction, see FWW No. 175 (Feb. 2005) - current.
