I just bought an older Woodmaster Model 725 machine. It weighs over 600 pounds and I need to be able to move it around my garage shop. I would like to use retractable casters but cannot locate any holding that much weight and working well. All the reviews I have found which I thought may work, the bad reviews were this year and not very promising. Can anyone give me information about a company I can order from with a reliable product? I can’t really afford casters costing over $100.00 for each one.

I had the same issue for my jointer-planer. I bought a Sawstop industrial cabinet saw mobile base and brought it to a welding shop where they cut it apart and reassembled it to fit my machine. That hydraulic base is the best. EVER. I am not sure of the max rating for weight though.
I'm using a Shop Fox extreme duty mobile base for a 700 lb. jointer/planer combo machine. Works great for heavy machinery like mine. $80 on Amazon.
I checked the base and the machine is to big for a base. Thanks for the reply though.
Have you looked at Zambus casters. Pricey-yes. Excellent-yes also.
I have used Footmaster castors in the past - like these https://www.keystonecastors.co.uk/Footmaster/levelling-castor?page=2
The leveling part can be retracted completely to allow the castor to function, then when in position jacked down to support whatever it is fixed to.
