Heirloom Tool Chest
Hello friends
I am pondering the thought of building the Heirloom tool chest by C H R I S
G O C HN O U R. I was hoping someone could tell me the board foot used in this project with included cubys. I am in Germany and will have to have the wood shipped to me, being that I want to make it out of cherry that is. Thank you for your help and have a blessed day.

James, apply the board foot formula to the cut list in the project (or develop a cut list from the dimensioned drawings) and add about 20% waste factor or perhaps more since you are having the wood shipped. You might reject stock that is not 'waste' in the truest sense but only for aesthetic reasons like grain, color, etc.

I got 26.11 board feet not including any allowance for waste or rejected parts. This is bassed on using 4/4 and 6/4 stock and calculated using the cutlist plugin for SketchUp. Take this information as an approximation only.
Thank you very much! I came up with the same numbers as well, I just asked the question to see if anyone had built this project and had any further advice. Thanks again my friends and have a blessed day.
Order 40 feet....
