Help adjutsting table on powermatic 180
Howdy all!
I just got a new to me powermatic planer. Looks like the 180, but is 20″, so i forgot what it really is. Made in the 50’s or 60’s, but they look really similar. The fellow i bought it from rebuilt the whole thing. (it has been 6 mons since i bought it on ebay and have lost my contact info with owner!!!) Bearings replaced, new byrd shelix head. Reground the table, new 10hp motor, painted it. Well, in painting it i think he forgot to put something back. When i crank up and down on the table it changes height from side to side. Under the table is a single screw on either side. They seem to thread through a disk that pushes up on the table and must pull it down as well. There are 4 holes on the disk at 90 degree intervals, but no set screw or what not, and they are not threaded. There are pipe wrench marks on these disks where someone else turned them, so i turned them in and out and sure enough they move the table up and down side to side, but nothing stops them from turning when you crank the table up and down. Something is missing. right above the disks cast into the table is a threaded hole. It looks to me that a “c” type piece is maybe missing??? that goes into the hole above and locks the disk in position? Is any of this registering with anyone? Maybe there is a downloaded copy of an owners/parts manual for these beasts?
Any help wouild be appreciated. Thanks

Call PM!
Yup, OWWM.com had the exact manual to download. Thanks
PM didn't seem to have the manual on their website, actually just a couple of the pages that didn't help (just for information)
