Ok I am VERY new to this and am trying to build the Router table box joint jig by Guido Henn. Plans are on this site under projects. I have down loaded the plans and have watched the slide show and am comfortable attempting to build this with one exception. The index pins are made from a 1-1/8 and 2″ square modified corner bracket. How is this modification made? I appears to be cut somehow but I cant find a proper measurement. The only thing I have really learned so far is proper measurements are very important close enough just doesn’t get it any more. Thanks in advance for any help

I haven't read the whole thing, but a quick look at the pictures suggest the index pins are probably cut with a hack saw, and filed to the desired dimension.
With single-pin jigs, the pin is the same size as the fingers. With this jig, the pins are combined/overlayed to equal that width, but can be adjusted for different sized fingers. Thus, their width should be less than the smallest fingers desired.
I think that's his concept, anyway.
