help finding a plan for making a shop-made work station for a bench drill press
I have been in a planning stage for a period of time so I’ve been collecting all kinds of articles and plans to complete my new shop. Some months ago I saw a plan for a shop-made work station for a bench style drill press. It was an enclosed cabinet with casters. The plan showed lots of storage for all of the accessories that would be needed at-hand for a drill press. I can’t find the article or magazine that I saw it in. Can anyone help me in this endeavor. Thanks, Ronlf

If you Google "drill press workstation", one of the links is for a SketchUp drawing based on an article in the June 2004 Popular Woodworking. Might that be what you're looking for?
Thanks alot Ralph. I checked it out, it wasn't the exact one I had seen but darn close. Close enough that I've downloaded and I'm going to use it with maybe a slight design change. Again I thank you. rolf
Another place to check is at the old woodworking machines site. Get into the pictures of equipment, listed by tool, and select drill presses. (Obviously!) There's hundreds of pictures of restored old, old drill presses. Several of them are works of art, and they are shown with some really outstanding drill press stations.
Check it out. I love that site!

Thanks Jeff, great suggestion. I believe I've found something I can design from what I've seen. Thanks again, rolf
