Hi Folks. I need to make a knob with a fixed flat piece that rotates into a slot in the carcass side when you turn the knob to lock the door. Can anyone help me with the design of this knob? I understand that the Shakers used this type of a setup often. I also believe that I saw a diagram for the construction of this type of knob in Fine Woodworking, but cannot for the life of me find the article again. I would appreciate any information.
