Hi everybody,
I am in the process of making 4 small table top chests and I need about 50 small knobs about 3/8″ diam. in cherry.
I’ve looked through my stack of catalogs without luck. I don’t want to resort to using just a bent nail or a sheetrock screw.
Someone please help me.
Thanks Len.

Len,
Why not use brass? You can get them in almost any size and should look nice for most types of small chests. Check rockler.com , they have some.

Len,
You might try Ball & Ball, they have a great assortment of furniture hardware. http://www.ballandball-us.com/products.html. Also, Lee Valley has a dedicated Hardware catalog that has almost everything you'd ever want to attach to a piece of furniture.

VanDykes has cherry knobs, but the smallest is 1" diameter (that's the knob diameter; the base is 7/8"). 3/8" seems pretty small.
Lee Valley's catalog doesn't show anything that small either :-(
forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Hi Len, Go to niceknobs.com. They have a very large selection. Pete

My wife's been getting thier crafty catalog for years. But the smallest are 1/2" and they don't confirm what type wood is used, looks like maple or cherry.
Enjoy, Roy
