i know it is a long shot but have to try. I recently purchased this saw at an auction and can find no identifying marks on it. was told it was a panther but i can’t locate any thing under that brand or model. i realize there are many knock-offs out there and this may very well be one of them but without any marks/identification i don’t know where to start. just want to be prepared in case i need parts down the road. it has a 14 inch blade, 3 phase, scoring blade (not with it but would be nice to add if i could find parts), was told it was 7.5 hp, and 2007 year.

I can't tell you anything about the saw. But I seriously doubt anyone makes a knockoff of anything that big, complicated, and expensive. I am surprised they don't have their name featured prominently.
Spammspammmy spam
not interested in the spam, just wondering if anyone out there has seen this or one similar to point me in the right direction.
Dear woodworkdsf, kindly stop using this space for advertising your plans. This is a discussion forum not the classifieds. I'm surprised the editors allow this to go on.
We don't "allow" it. I moderate for spam throughout the day during the work week. On the weekends... it waits.
Thanks Ben. Having been a forum mod I know the tireless and unsung work you do.
Have you taken a look under the hood? I agree that something of that scale should carry some identifying marks, scars or tattoos regardless of what the previous owners did to the outside.
Doesn't look like any of the major brands (scmi, martin, holz, laguna, altendorf, etc.). I would try and look at the motor plaque and see where it was made and if there's any info on it. Otherwise, post these questions on woodweb and I'm sure someone there would be able to help - they're much more production oriented and deal more with big panel saws. Good luck!
this is on the motor. I have been inside and out and can find no markings. thanks for input. much appreciated.
ABB is a Swiss manufacturer. They own Baldor in the US.
