I’m finally ready to build a small table, and I’ve had this blurry idea of it for ages now. I assumed it was probably a FWW project or article at some point. But searching the website, I couldn’t find it. Then finally, I found it, but it’s just an image, nothing more.
The attached screenshot was taken from the Joinery section on this page:

Does anyone know if there’s more info about it anywhere on FWW? Was it ever the subject of an article or project plan, etc? Looks like a Pekovich project with the proud joinery. Curly maple and cherry.
I looked through all the entries in Joinery, which this is the cover image for, but I didn’t see it.
Thanks.

Hi Joe,
That is a nice looking little table. I had some fun searching for it. As you surmised, it is a Mike Pekovich project: https://www.finewoodworking.com/2014/10/07/a-road-trip-pays-off-with-nice-lumber
Pekovich wrote that this is a table he had built previously in oak, so I continued searching on FWW. I found this web page that has links to the original magazine article (FWW #263, Sep/Oct 2017 Issue) and plans for his white oak version: https://www.finewoodworking.com/project-guides/tables-and-desks/floating-top-table
The only difference I see is the side rails and the wood used.

Happy building!
I had a similar post two(ish) years ago asking the same question. Above info is correct.
Thanks!
I had seen the little white oak sewing table, separately, but for some reason didn't connect the white oak design with the (I thought) cherry and curly maple piece.
