I acquired this rather unique looking bullnoze plane from a well known auction site. It did not cost me an arm and a leg. I thought I have not seen this design before and would want to know more about it. According to the seller, there is no mark on the item. And I have searched high and low on the web in identifying the make but to no avail. I would appreciate if anyone could help me please. It maybe a “homemade” version but i am no expert in telling so. So over to you – the tool experts!! Thank you 🙂

Looks like a old Preston to me could be a home made one I have a brass router plane that looks like a old Stanley that was home made nice little bull nose plane tho
Yes - my first reaction was identical to yours i.e. Preston but not at closer look. The item is still in the post and I cannot wait to get my hands on it and see how this little gem scores on my workbench. I hope to get more feedback from the floor. For now, thanks for your input!
