Mine does it too. I don't know much about these things. I just keep on keeping on. ha..ha..
FG or some of the puter whiz's will hopefully come to the rescue. I look at it as an extra space for nothing. My lucky day! ha..ha..

Hold down the Shift key when you press Enter and see if that works.
