I have been cutting fabric for face masks for medial personnel. They are using washable cloth covers over n95 masks which are scarce.
I cut 125 in one hour using a utility knife and a correctly sized plywood block. Cutting several layers at once.
I’m making more blocks and sheets of thin plywood for other volunteers to cut their own.
Local volunteers with sewing machines turn the fabric rectangles into masks. Pre cutting saves tremendous time for them.
Please look for a local group making masks. One hour of your time could save the life of a nurse or doctor (who may save yours).
