Anyone ever use hemp oil on cherry, or for any hardwood for that matter?

I discovered hemp oil while making wooden items for our local farmers cheese store , they use it to coat the woodenly racks and service platters, it’s food safe and does not impart a smell to food. It’s very much like linseed oil, without the smell, it is yellow and does dry overnight , it is rather thin and requires a few coats to seal the wood. I used it on elm and walnut, it really darkens the wood.
Thanks, it came today and I applied some to scrap cherry piece, so far it beautiful...
