hi, i been haveing a problem with finding a makers mark on an antique band saw.
The band saw’s C frame is about 2 feet tall, I don’t have a clue where to find makers mark, I looked almost every where, the only marks I have found was the part numbers on each of the main parts like BS 1, BS 2, BS 3, BS 4, I’m a begainer at collecting. I know the saw is at least more than 100 years or at least slightly older?, I’ll be very grateful for any idea’s/ I’ll have a picture ready to post later when someone posts a comment.

Manufacturers
Around the turn of the last century, there were many small manufacturers of machines, some of which sold to retailers that liked to add their own labels. That included Sears & Roebuck, Montgomery Wards, etc.
An excellent resource for info on vintage machines is http://vintagemachinery.org/
