Well here we go again with yet another tool crisis .It seems someone on my crew thought that my HILTI TE-22 hammer drill was low on oil. This was not the case and now its low on moveable parts.I contacted HILTI and they no longer make the TE-22,but last I checked you need a second mortage to buy one of these puppies, not to mention parts if I can find them.Anyone know if you can get used parts from anywere or a broke one for parts.I maybe barking up a big tree but with all of you and all of your great connections I might get lucky.
Thank you all Rick……………ADESIGNS ;<)-

I know your pain, My TE 17 needs a new switch, no where to be found..
Nigel....
I live in Wisconsin and the Hilti phone no.here is 1-800-879-8000 ask for ext.6608 Ask for Andrea (She's getting married on Sat.)She is helping me kind of. I need a exploded view of my drill in order to track down the parts and determine if fixing it will be worth while. This may be a place for you to look .they haven't made the TE-22 in 10 years but they still have some parts for them in stock($$$$$$$$)So I may be looking in other directions Hope this helps.....Rick
Thanks Rick, Its a TE17 that I have needing a new switch. but I will ring the number you gave as I am getting sick of rebuilding the old one.
Rick, I might just have a brand new one,, well almost new.. Give me a couple of days to track the guy down and I'll get back to you... If you need it right now, I'm of no help.

Rick, still trying to track the guy down. I'm not sure what the model is but I would bet it is a 22. I've seen the box and it is clean but I havent seen whats inside, just heard it described. If I remember correctly, he wants 150.00 for it. If that's a good price and it is a good piece I'll see if I can buy it and if you want it let me know, otherwise I'll just keep it. Its kind of a sad situation. The guy is an alcoholic that is selling his tools for booze. I just bought his Stihl 029 chain saw and his Sawsall for 100.00 and some repairs to his motor home cabinetry. I stalled for a long time but when he had another buyer, I figured if nothing else, he knew me and could buy them back if he ever decided to get his life together. Granted, this wont be the case with the Hilti but he has to expect some losses.

Steve........
That's a BIG yes.For 150.00 and if its a TE-22 I will buy it for that ,that is if after you look at it and feel its in good condition.I may only need a drill this size once or twice a year but when I do its worth its weight in gold.It is sad about who you are getting it from though. I would rather see this man enjoying his tools than selling them to support an illness like alcoholism.Lost two very special Grandparents to the same thing...But I will give the TE-22 a happy home.
Thank you very much and I only hope that I can return the favor sometime.I have my ear on a lot of tracks so keep me in mind........Rick
Sorry Rick, its a TE-15 and has seen some pretty rough use but its all there. He has promised it to another person who is supposed to come up with the money in a week. If not it will be available again and I have first shot at it.
