Soft close full inset concealed cabinet hinge. These are able to adjust up to 2-3mm in each direction to ensure you get an even reveal.
They can be a faff to install, but are fairly forgiving of error. Not really designed to work in that orientation but no reason why they would not work.
If you really want it to look like a single slab when closed go with Soss invisible hinges. http://www.soss.com Buy a router jig to match the hinges you choose, TOTALLY worth it.

I was going to recommend Soss hinges as well.
3rd on SOSS hinges. From tiny jewelry boxes on up to reinforced pedestrian hollow metal doors and frames. It's a go to for a clean look on an opening.
Just ran across this place. Never seen so many hinge choices. Thought you might find something here that would work.
