I have just finished making a wardrobe….The last one some of you may remember, was too large to fit through the bedroom door……
anyway, I have used knock down fittings , so that I can take this one to bits and re assemble, which works very well,… however..
I just purchased 9 concealed hinges ( the sprung type, used on kitchen cabinet doors etc) for the three doors and paid nearly $6 each for them
Are these fittings any cheaper inthe US or is that the going rate for them????

Yes but not by the time you include shipping to england!
I was considering flying over to pick them up....or even taking the QE2 to NY and then the train across country..........
I would have complained about the price of hinges then!!!!!
Curious that "Euro" hinges would be more expensive there. Must be an EU thing. Once you drill the holes, don't you just £ them into place? ;-)
thread from 2006 - I wonder what the posters question was? This happens if you use the same thread title as an earlier thread -= yours deletes and the old one replaces!
Poster - repose question and change the name to something like Hinges 1 or hinges?? -
Jhon,
I nearly replied to one from three years ago just now. I know the dates are on top, but I'm not used to looking for them yet. I was pretty good about checking dates on the other forum. Nevertheless, shouldn't these things be buried deep in the archives?
