Hinges for Pekovich’s Mirrored Wall Cabinet (Jul/Aug ’21 & “Foundations of Woodworking”
Need recommendation for appropriate hinges for the wall cabinet. I’m building the wall cabinet for a wedding present, due on the 16th of September, but have concerns about the hinge size and type. According to the pictured diagram, Mike’s face-frame and cabinet door stiles are each shown at 9/16″. Second milling of those parts presently at a bit over 5/8″ but I won’t go further until I’m sure I have a set of hinges leaving 1/8″ or 3/32″ on the stiles.
Have examined both Brusso and Horton Brasses, 90 min last night, and still not sure, so I need help here. Thinking about calling them directly, as well. [Would love to see author’s recommendations directly within such diagrams; e.g., “Horton Brasses hinge #xyz123, or equivalent. Why not?]
Thanks in advance for any help.

Based of the article in Jul/Aug 21 issue. on page 32 the hinge barrel has 5 sections, the hinges looks to be 2" based on the door's lower rail width of 2 1/8". page 39 image 3 shows the mortise for the hinges on the door are open in the back.
It looks to me like the hinge is a White Chapel H206H6_ which is 2"x 1 1/4" and has 5 sections in the barrel.

with a hinge mortise open in the back, you can clamp a board on the back of the door to give the hinge a positive stop while drilling or marking for the screws. you can also use the board on the face frame, if the face frames also have hinge mortises open in the back.
I was taught that the center of the hinge barrel should be inline with the face of the door (or half the barrel buried in the hinge mortise).
If you need the hinge to project past the back of the door to get the desired projection of the barrel on the front of the door.. you can add the smallest rabbit to the board clamp on the back when mounting the hinge to get a consistent projection on both hinges.
Also the drawing on page 33 shows hinges with balls at the ends of the barrel like this https://whitechapel-ltd.com/213h6b.html
