Hi,
I am in the process of replacing the blade guard on my mitersaw. There is a spring, with 2 prongs, that fits between the guard and a metal plate on the saw. I am having a devil of a time with the spring. Is there a trick to this ?
Any help would be appreciated.

Please give me the model number of your saw and a clearer description of the spring and its location. With that information I can look up a parts sheet for your saw and I might be able to give you some advice.
