   I have a PM 719A, love it.

   I got mine without a stand for $540 shipped /  new from the WMH Surplus company on the web.

   Can't beat that price, and I prefer to build my own cabinets.

   The 719A and the General floor unit have been compared head to head as well as the 719 stand alone.

   Get good chisels and more importantly than that, make sure they are SHARP.  There is nothing that makes a bigger difference than having your chisels/bits sharp as razors.
