Hollow chisel mortising tool stand plan?
I’m going to build some tall bookcases using mortise & tenon joints for the face frames. Have any of you seen plans for a hollow chisel mortising stand (I’ve got a Delta)? If not, any ideas on what to incorporate into such a stand? Comfortable stand height?

Free-wheel the dimensions for the size of your Delta, your personal space and size!

wj, attached file is photo of table I built, it also serves as an outfeed table for the bandsaw, height is approx 35". Just make sure you allow for the sideways movement of the mortiser in your table.

Bill,
A MiniMax and a Powermatic you really do know how to live the good life! I have the MM, are you happy with the Powermatic?

Jim,
Yes the powermatic has worked well for the last year and a half. No issues except the typical "manual" being worse than poor. It's a very stout machine, smooth action on all gibs, adjustments are easy. Overall very pleased.
If I was in the market I might look at tilting head mortisers but I also might end up back with this one, who knows.
