Does anyone here have experience using a Holz-Her 1380 Profile sander along with the associated Foam Block Jig? I have one that I bought 25 yrs ago at a trade show for a special project and I am now getting around to it and I would like to get some guidance on it’s use.
Yeah, I know, 25 yrs to get to a project . . . . . .

Yeah I have one myself. have only used it once. to much of a pain plus I found if I keep my molding blade sharp I don't need to sand. It needs a phase converter to work on our electrical system in USA. you need a cloth back sand paper and the 2 component chemicals to make the mold, you put the sandpaper down on top of the sample piece of molding and fill it up with the chemicals make sure you keep it locked in the mold chamber once is has set you have a sanding block that matches the profile. I am not sure but I think you make 2 and put it in the sander that is mounted upside down on a table and pull the moulding through. I can send you some pictures of the stuff I still have.
