Through the wonders of Craigslist (and a very tolerant wife) I find myself in possession of a really big bandsaw. It is a Grizzly, and the wheels are 20 and 1/2 inches in diameter. Has a 3hp motor. (paid about what the cheapest new 14 incher runs at home depot) The previous owner was remarkably uninformative, but said it was about 7 years old. I can’t find a model number on the saw. Anybody know what model this might be, or where I can find a model number so I can download a manual, and get other information?

What is the distance from the frame to the blade?
Frame to blade is 20"
Frame to blade is 20"
Why not contact Grizzly?
Grizzly have good online manuals. Somewhere on the frame of the machine will be some identification plate, casting number on the underside of table or similar identification.
Sending a photo to Grizzly might help.

It appears to be a G1258, just like the one Joe was asking about in his post.
Can't help on the model number of the Griz, but I love my old 20" Inca bandsaw, which uses a three-wheel design to achieve the capacity.
But, wouldn't "Honkin' Huge" be something in excess of 48" ? ;-)
