Does anybody make an accessory pad for this with velcro hooks, and then further, does anyone make rectangular loop paper for it?

Gene,
You might try some "velcro" tape. Either self stick or maybe with a dab from a hot glue gun, which is easily removed. Should work a little more economically than a converter kit, if available. Just to try. Some of that is available through sewing and notions areas, or steal some, as I do, from my wifes sewing supplies.

There is another Canadian company in Ontario but I don't have a link to them at the moment.
