   Gene,

   You might try some "velcro" tape.  Either self stick or maybe with a dab from a hot glue gun, which is easily removed.  Should work a little more economically than a converter kit, if available.  Just to try.  Some of that is available through sewing and notions areas, or steal some, as I do, from my wifes sewing supplies.

   9" x 11" hook and loop conversion sheet (good for 4 sanders like yours) is $16.00CDN

   9" x 11" sheets of sandpaper 40 - 800 grit is $10.00CDN for 6 sheets. (Website shows grits to 3000)
