HoooRahhhh! New Iturra catalog is out!
Came in to work today to find the 2005 Iturra Bandsaw Accessory Catalog laying beneath the mail slot! Cool! If you own or are thinking about buying a bandsaw, it’s well worth reading. It’s not just a catalog, it’s an education. Contact info (no web site):

Maybe a few of us should email them and make sure they are sending out your commission checks on time;)
Don't I wish :=)

Seriously, though, his catalog has so much information in it, and so few people (relatively speaking) seem to know about the company. One of the few left standing that don't use a web site, wouldn'tcha think?

They should. A lot more people would see their products. Although, they'd also be sending out a lot more catalogs to people who have no intention of ever buying anything.geoff
Funny thing about catalog mailing, and LLBean has shown this. Mail enough catalogs and you will buy something. (yes 100% but I don't know how many catalogs that requires) (of course Bean's stuff doesn't usually cost what a band saw does).Ever notice how hard it is to stop catalogs from being sent to you? They all know that pictures sell. (took three tries to stop Sharper Image and Front Gate)...Mark

A bandsaw is the next piece of equipment on my list, so I called and asked for one to be sent. Thanks for the heads-up; from others' comments, looks like I should learn something.
Only problem is, once you read the "Dream Machine" section you won't want anything but the tippy-top of the best, LOL!

Hmm, I may be prone to that, but I do think I have my limits. On the table saw decision, I did move up the scale significantly from my first inclination (that Craftsman 22124) to the Unisaw 5 HP. But I didn't go through that price on to the PM or the General or, as you pointed out, the fancy European saws. I basically stopped when I felt I was getting a good solid base for future work.
Maybe this catalog will help me decide what to do for a BS. So thanks again for the pointer. :)
I ain't got mine yet, and I'm always telling folks there's more stuff in Louis' catalog than in most bandsaw books for which you have to pay cash.
You will never regret doing business with Louis.
Iturra Bandsaw Accessory Catalog - they now charge 8 dollars to send to Canada.
I was willing to pay having heard such good things about this publication.
It really is an amazing publication.
I picked up a handful of items that made using my MM16 an even greater joy.
Truly a great company to work with and an excellent selection of accessories. As well as just being a truly unique catalog in that it contains an awesome amount of technical information, bandsaw history, and general tuning practice... He could probably cut 1/3 out and sell a 60-70 page book with the knowledge found within.
