Thinking about doing this for an entertainment center to hide the TV when not in use. Has anyone ever done this? I’ve made several vertical sliders, but not a horizontal one. Any advise you might care to share would be appreciated.
Is there anyplace I can obtain aluminum tracking that would be about 1/2″ inside width and 1/4″ inside depth? Rather than trying to bend it 90 degrees, I could route out the circular corners.

Seems to me that I remember seeing a nice article featuring horizontally sliding tambour doors-- it was either in an old Fine Woodworking magazine, or in one of their design books. The seams between the slats were essentially invisible when the doors were closed, a pretty impressive technique for my money. I'll thumb through a few things and see if I can find it, although somebody else might beat me to it.
