Many people have criticized polyurethane glues, like Gorilla Glue, on this forum. Was wondering if anyone had experience with the quick-set, heat activated polys?
FWW did a little review this past edition. Of course, I bought one, but haven’t used it. Any thoughts?

I had problems with poly glues and ipe, so I wasn't optimistic when I tried the hot poly. To my surprise it bonded well, extremely well. It is a specialty glue but it's really useful for tacking slats in place for garden furniture before they get screwed down. It's waterproof, keeps things from shifting, and provides extra hold, and no foam.
Robbie,
One draw back to the heat set poly glues is that once the end of the glue cartridge is pierced the glue must be used in a few days or it hardens in the tube and becomes useless. Before you invest in a high tech hot melt glue gun, get in touch with the manufacturer and ask them about the lifespan of partially used cartridges.
