In making some cherry wood shaker boxes I made the mistake of using some Cc-lamps without protecting the wood with wood between the metal and the wood. The metal stained the cherry. Is there an easy/smart way of getting rid of these stains?

Oxalic acid, in powdered form at most paint stores or hardware stores, will do it. Follow the directions on the label.
*Lemon juice will also work in most cases. Drew
