Hello all, I was wondering about cabinet hinges called “Youngdale Hinges”and how you come to make the cuts for them to fit. Their website is http://www.youngdale.com . They say use 6and 1/2 dado blade 9/32 wide to cut slots for their hinges. I’m useing #4 for my kitchen cabinet that I’m in the planning to do. You have to make the slots (arch) about 1 and 3/4 long and 3/4 deep with the table saw. I had something in my mind to make a fixture with rocker ramps on the router with a 9/32 bit and four stop pins (two removeable top and bottom two fixed on the side) on the fixture to line it up to the door side and top or bottom. This way I would make every cuts even on both ends of the door with out having to use the table saw between set ups. How do you cabinet makers do it the other way? I did the bathroom doors with the table saw using stops and the fence, it is pretty good but I’m going to be doing more than fifteen doors.
