o.k. I really liked Andy Ray’s blog on “Details”. So I thought that I’d try adding it to the “MY FAVORITES” tab.
Couldn’t figgure it out! Couldn’t find “Add to MY FAVORITES” anywhere on the screen.
Anyone know if this works on Blog Articles??? How????

Hey Mike.
There is no quick "Add to Favorites" link on the blogs and in the forums. There is a workaround, however.
Underneath the "Details" post in Andy's blog there's a link that reads, "Link to this Post." When you click that, it will change the URL in the address bar of your browser to one that takes you directly to that entry. Copy that URL and add it to your favorites using the "Add Bookmark" feature. It's a few more steps but probably worth the effort.
Hope that helps,

O.K., That was a lot of steps, but it did work.
Now, if I can remember the steps next time.
Shouldn't you guys FIX that? This is a great idea, but it needs work?

P.S. Thanks for the quick response.

We plan to address this limitation but unfortunately it's technically challenging because our blogs and forums are hosted by a third-party software company, so integrating our custom feature is tricky. It's definitely on our to-do list.

In the meantime, your browser should have it's own "Favorites" or "Bookmarks" feature, no?? Haven't you been using it for woodworking stuff?? Really not difficult, LOL.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)

I HAVE been using that method, but, gee, Forestgirl, that is soooo last week, doncha know? Gotta stay up with the new stuff, or fall by the wayside.

I know you, Mike, you're just forcing sysop to push the envelope! Not allowed to rest on their laurels, right?forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
The other thing you can do is start a "google notebook". Go to google and take a look. Then you can highlight what you want and put it in a "notebook" that you can access when you want.
Or get yourself a wiki and do the same thing which would deny Google of your personal information which they likely use for marketing if not sell to others for same. Google notebook looks almost as bad as Google desktop. Andy
A wiki?
As we say in old Kentuck . . . whut?

> As we say in old Kentuck . . . whut?:)Mike, a wiki is an application run on a web server that allows people to easily edit and link web pages together. You don't need to understand HTML or use fancy programs. You can edit pages much like you can edit messages on this forum. Difference is it has more editing controls and formatting characters and you can (easily) add links to other such pages. Pages that don't exist are created and you can then edit those. I run one on a web host I subscribe to but you can probably find wiki space on fully managed servers. You can allow them to be fully open or have security to only allow certain people or groups. Its a great way to organize, store, and disberse blog, document, or database type info that is subject to change often. I use one for keeping track of things between family members like vacation planning, christmas lists, etc. You can create tables, post pictures, and of course links to both other internal wiki pages and external URLs. The most famous (and perhaps largest) example is wikipedia.org. If you have not seen that wiki, I urge you to check it out. (Disclaimer: as with other info out there on the net, read with caution and compare with other sources.) Google has 355 million references to 'wiki'. :) http://www.wikipedia.org/
