Now what did I ever do to you that you'd want to hide like that???
Well, at least you plan to use my favorite wood.
gotta catch me first.........
I am using your favorite wood but have never seen so much sapwood in two boards. If I cauled most of it, then I would only have one board. It was a bad purchase on my part.
Now, what about the"catch me if you can" stuff?
Can you help me????
I meant to type, "Now what did I ever do to you that you'd want to hide me, like that?"My "name" here is sapwood. heh heh, get the joke???OK seriously: Some advocate making a dye by soaking walnut shells in water to darken the sapwood. I've never tried it. Alternatively use analine dye on the sapwood. That I have done. You will have to experiment with dye concentration and colors. Experiment on some scrap. Don't make your final evaluation until the topcoat is applied as it will affect the appearance.
Thanks Sapwood for your reply, do you have any special colors you use?
