How to connect Fein vac to DeWalt sander and circ?
(sigh) So I have a new Fein vac, the Turbo I, and it’s quiet and powerful. But I want to connect it to my DeWalt tools (random orbit sander DCW 210 and 6 1/2″ circ saw DCS 565). How do I do that?
The DeWalt tools have a 1 3/4″ OD exhaust tube with a proprietary twist-lock connector. DeWalt makes a “universal” quick adapter, the DWV 9000, that mates with that connector and is meant to connect to 1 1/4″ hoses, I guess by fitting inside the end (which is a simple 1.7″ OD tube.) That connector is pricey but clones are available.
The Fein hose has a 1 3/4″ termination with it’s own proprietary push-button lock. It comes with a mating “coupler” for its own accessories with a 1 3/8″ OD end. It’s ridiculously expensive and there are no clones available that I can see.
So I’m thinking I can get one of each adapters and glom them together with heatshrink or duct tape. Or instead of the Fein adapter, I’d just get one of their accessory crevice tools and cut off the business end, leaving the end that takes the push-button lock, because that’s all I need.
Any other ideas? I’m open to 3-d printed stuff but I don’t know where to look.

Rockler has some good "universal" connectors that bridge these kinds of gaps.
Thanks, but could you be more specific? There are lots of them, but most of them seem to be connecting something to 4" or 2 1/2" hose. Really, I need something that's Fein's proprietary 1 3/4" connector on one end and DeWalt's proprietary 1 3/4" connector on the other.
I have used these connectors that fit my fein hose and most of my tools.

Thanks! That looks like it might work.
I have half of a 36 inch wide door with a pegboard rack that has every known vacuum connector known to man and I am often stymied when connecting devices.I even use PVC pipes in some cases and if all fails DUCT TAPE.If you all vote me in as emperor,I will assign one of you to impose standardization on the manufacturers.

This is amenable to a 3D printed solution.
I use the Rockler Dust Right hose and adaptors which work well enough. I find the extendable hose tends to become quite a wearing/tiring spring when it is in use - it's a bit of a gimmick because the effort needed to keep it extended more than offsets the benefit of it being retractable.
I know exactly what you mean to help the spring back issue I drape it over my shoulder which solves much of this problem with the added benefit of keeping the hose off of my work piece.
