What is the best way to attach the top to the back and vertical members? Stopped dadoes? I’m trying to avoid using screws or nails so I’ll be building this slightly different than the picture shows. Your input is appreciated…

I built some similiar a few years ago. I used stopped sliding DTs except the center divider had egg crate joint. I'm sure the back was 1/2" glued/screwed and the hooks were different as they hung from the bottom shelf. I think the lower molding was 1/2" clamshell.
Good luck,
Joe
Tons of options. Stopped dado, sliding DT, biscuits, loose tenons, etc.
Based on the setup time and joint strength, I'd go with loose tenon joinery for the case. For the back, I'd rabbet the top and sides of the case.
