Hi,
I bought an old Dunlap tap and die set in a wooden case cut out specifically for the tools.
It needed cleaning so I sprayed cleaner on it, let it sit for a short time and rinsed it off then air dried it for a while.
It warped and scared me quite a lot so I put it out in direct sun to finish drying bowed side up.
The warping straightened almost perfectly.
I want to seal the two pieces to prevent water/moisture from warping it again.
What would you recommend?
Thanks,
Rex

Hey,
Without a picture it's hard to say, but would sanding & finishing accomplish the same task?

Don't want to destroy the labels authenticating the brand and sizing chart.
I wouldn't seal it. Keep it original. It just wasnt intended to have a finish.
