I need to ship my fence across country. It’s a biesemeyer with a 72″ front rail (rectangle and angle iron), plus the fence itself welded to the T-shaped “glide” and handle. What is the cheapest way to do this safely? I have time on my side, so if SLOW is cheaper then so be it. Thanks in advance.

Due to the size and weight, using a common carrier, shiped freight yard to freight yard, is a good way to go. You box up the items, take them to their loading yard and pick them up at a yard near your destination. Costs go up a lot if you have them pick up and deliver to an address. Trucking companies come and go, I've used Yellow freight in the past.
