Husquevarna Weed wacker -need opinion.
I’m not going to try to spell it again, but I saw a couple of “husky” straight shaft weed eaters(gas) at a junk dealers. I don’t know how much he wants, or if they even work, but I had a “HSQVRNA” chainsaw that was high quality. If someone would endorse them, I might just go by and offer him a few bucks. The way he is, he’ll probably sell them “as is”, and for cheap. I’d like to hear a good or bad review from someone. thanks.

Everything Husqvarna makes is quality. If you are fine with buying as is, you cannot go wrong with a Husky
Dday, thanks for your thoughts. I'll probably go by and pick one up, or both if the price is right (parts). I'm just curious as to why they both ended up in a "flea market" type situation. Because I'm cynical, I tend to assume that someone used them ' till they broke, then couldn't stand to throw away a power tool that still looked like it did when it worked. At a flea market/ yard sale, these are the guys who, when asked if it works, shrug and say, "I don't know" - burt they're selling it too cheap for working. Anyway, I'll take that gamble sometimes because I feel like anything can be fixed - if its worth it.
When something is price "extremely well", I always assume it is stolen.
I would look at them very closely, pull the cord so you know the motor isn't seized, also maybe look and see what the gas looks like, someone could have put regular gas in it. Husqvarna's are not usually bought by homeowners, and where their are two of them, I'm thinking that they are from a landscape company who hire people who cannot speak a word of english and they did something (gas) or who knows what that stopped them.
Good advice. I was thinking that a seized motor would be the only deal breaker for me, anything else is probably a simple matter, like you suggested. thanks!
FYI the same people that make Huskvarna also make Sears Craftsman lawn mowers/snow blowers etc... (Electrolux).

Measure it with a micrometer, mark it with chalk, cut it with an ax.
My wife bought a Electrolux vacuume LONG ago from a door to door salesman!
Geeeeeeee.. It was Ok but expensive! She told me he was 'nice' to her?
I have a Huscvarna (can't spell it) trimmer with a brush blade. They're top quality products.
I also like Stihl and Echo.

I own a husky 36 chain saw that I use fairly infrequently, and it always starts right up and performs well. Good quality stuff. Good luck. Tom
