I am looking for information on which type of turbine HVLP sprayer to buy. Which ones are the most flexible for types of finishes, ie lacquer, acrylic, poly etc? Which brand give the best service and warrenty?

Tes,
There are a lot of good units out there but the highest rated have been the four stage units from Apollo, Turbinaire and my favorite Fuji. A lot depends on the quality of the gun and how it feels in your hand and I think these units meet those criteria. I have not used the new Apollo Atomizer gun but it is rated very well.

I did a fair amount of research on these HVLP systems and I went with the Fuji Q4. It is not a cheap machine by any means. But, it has been just an outstanding setup for my use and purposes. Before I actually purchased the system (from Klingspor) I called their company to ask about uses. They were extremely helpful and nice to talk with. I was treated with respect and they answered my questions to a degree that I was looking for.
THe Q4 is a lot quieter than most machines I've been told and when I run mine, it is no louder than a household vacuum cleaner. I have used it for polyurethane, latex, and even some outdoor stains. The key has always been the viscosity of the material you want to run. When I used acrylic for my front door, I had to thin it again and again but once I did, WOW! I honestly will never paint another door any other way. At the same time, there is very little over-spray. I actually sprayed these doors in my basement!
This is just my opinion of the Fuji HVLP system. I consider it a worthwhile investment. Hope this helps.
For turbine powered HVLP you can't get better than the Accuspray brand. I have their Ten gun. I consider Accuspray to hold a wide advantage in turbine powered guns. The conversion guns are less clearly dominated though Accuspray is still one of the better units. AAA is the next step up (air assisted airless) from HVLP .
I have just bought a Wagner 4 stage turbine over here in England. I was under the impression I was buying American so was shocked to discover Made In China on the bottom of the spraygun.Looks like your manufacturing base is going to go the same way as ours.
