I wanted an HVLP sprayer to do the finish on some of my pieces but my wife thought I needed to paint the garage more so she went out and bought me a Wagner for my birthday. Her intention was good but I dont think one can use a Wagner Power painter for finish work….or can I. I havent used the Wagner yet so I still have time to return it for an HVLP if that is what I need to do.

Maybe you can... Just a cedar (smooth not rough sawn) fence... oil and Poly...
Wagner spray gun.. Electric'... I thought it did pretty well once I got it adjusted so it did not 'sputter'.. The fence looks like furniture.. Well, till it rains or the sun gets on it...
Talk her into replacing it with a Wagner 1075 airless pump. These work great fpr spraying lacquer I use a 410 double oriface tip on a g10 gun. A little tinning of the paint and they will spray pretty good. Look for reconditioned ones.
