I’m modifying an existing cabinet to house a flat screen TV. The client wants to use flipper doors but the TV is too wide for the doors given the limited travel of the slides. I was considering making bifold doors attached to Accuride flipper door hardware to increase the width of the doors when closed but allow for doors to slide back into cabinet completely. Has anyone out there had any experience with this type of door system?

Bi fold pocket doors
It works! I did it with KV pocket door slides. You have to have some way to hold the 2 doors together when they go into the pocket. I used magnets set into the back of the doors. K& J magnetics sells paired magnets with a countersink for a screw. There are pictures of Entertainment centers with bi fold doors on my website. www.steveduncan.com
