started with one plane, i think a 3 1/2 stanly that was grandpa’s, then Sphere from BT sent me two more, a #3 and #5, then I got a block plane and trim plane for my b-day and another blockplane from DavidDone on BT. I have 6 now, and they are so fun to use!!! not to mention this summer I will most likely get at least one more from my deceased other grandpa.

You're young enough you won't be able to get a loan so you can get your first LN plane. Slippery slope, there.
But you're also young enough that if you figure out how to make them sing this early, by the time you can afford a tool that doesnt fight you half the way you'll be way better at it than all us old farts are.

I heard a rumor that General Motors bought LN and will soon be offering 0% financing for 60 months on all models!!!

Yeah, then just take out a home equity loan to pay the whole thing off when it all gets out of hand!! It's the "American" way (or so "they" try to make us think)!

andy,
If ya happen to run across a Millers Falls plane you might want to add one or three to round out the growing collection. I say growing 'cause once you start down that slippery slope, that's what it'll be.
