Maybe he’s new at eBay, but it looks like he’s about to have to sell a STARTRITE 16″ / 36″ VARIABLE SPEED BAND SAW wTABLE FEED for just a couple hundred bucks! Yikes!

That's certainly one that very few would ever have to upgrade!! Makes me wish I had a week, a flatbed, a bigger shop and 3 phase power (and a wife that was more understanding of "mid-life madness"). LOL
Are you going to bid on it?

Mack

Well, it's up to $510 now, and there are 7 different bidders, so who knows. It'll be interesting to see where it tops out. What a monster!
BTW, what do you cut at 50 FPM???

... infinitely adjustable band speed ranging from 50 fpm for sawing Inconel and other alloys to 400 fpm for cutting structurals and mild steels.

Did you check out his other auctions? Get outamyway! I'm bidding on the
PROTECTOSEAL BIDIRECTIONAL DETONATION FLAME ARRESTER
I think my stepdaughter will get for Christmas the "Del Monte Commercial Pineapple Cutter/Corer Station" LOL!!
Jeez, I'd love to be able to sell stuff like that. Too fun.

Forestgirl,
For that price, it would be fun just to check these things out. Of course, that band saw would BECOME my shop if I were to buy it. That is, after I broke the door of the shop down to fit it in!!!
"Of course, that band saw would BECOME my shop " NO KIDDING! I sent the link to hubby, asked him to put it at the top of my Christmas list. That'll make it easier for me to get what I really want, LOL.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)Another proud member of the "I Rocked With ToolDoc Club" .... :>)
http://www.govliquidation.com/list/e1125
that is url for goverment auction they have some wood working tools and metal working tools. some one listed it on breaktime.
you need to read the fine print.
fredsmart,
Thanks for that link to the liquidation site. Interesting.
I saw one thing that caught my eye -- a Craftsman 10" table saw. This thing has so much rust on the table, I think it's affecting the gross weight of the saw!

I'm impressed that the government didn't somehow figure out how to pay $45,000 for the saw rather than the $450 like the rest of us. After all, they seem to be able to find $500 hammers and $2,000 toilet seats..........

His stuff is good. I bought a 20" disc grinder(pedistal type) from that company for a friend of mine down is SoCal. Paid about $100 for it. Very profesional outfit
Told my friend that if he didn't want it, I'd pick it up from him on my next trip down there. He chucked and then said "No, you won't"
I guess he knows what he's doing!
He's probably picking these units up at scrap iron or "get it out'a here" price. "WISH IN ONE HAND, #### IN THE OTHER AND SEE WHICH FILLS UP FIRST"
