I have to hand it to those Canadians at Leigh..
GOOD DESIGN, FIT, AND FINISH…
Back ordered for about a month and some of the other accessories I ordered still on back order.. I can live with that so not a gripe..
I’m no expert in the field but I do know a ‘bit’ about metal working and plastic molding.
Before using it I took out my trusty old dial indicator and took some quick checks on many points of the FMT.. ‘SPOT ON’ where it counts and the rest about the same.. CNC milling I would assume. I do not know for sure..
I also have their D4R 24″ or something about that long so I knew it would be at least that well made..
Why did I wait this long to get it! Damn beautiful tool! I LOVE IT!
After reading the manual (OK some parts of it) .. I was knocking out ‘sticks’ in less time than it would take me to find my old heavy cast iron jig and set up my table saw..
I can live with the round corners on the Mortis and Tenons.. Who can see them anyway.. I order the ‘square guides’ and will have to see how they do when the back orders come in.. I like to use through tenons when I can..
I think I make well fitting joints using the tools I had but to much trial-and-error setting up.. (Could just be me doing the set-up’s).
The cost is very reasonable considering the time saved and NO FUSSING for the fit after initial set-up..
NO.. I DO NOT have anything to do with Leigh.. Just a very satisfied user…
And I used one of my ‘so called JUNK Ryobi routers for the cuts..
(I tend to get pissed a bit when everybody knocks my Ryobi routers. Bet they never used them.)
I may even try to make that little table I saw on their web page.

Be sure to include a Saw Stop mechanism.
Oh...you said "table I saw," not "table saw."
Never mind.
