I applied ” Old Masters” 100% pure tung oil on an end table. The question I have is, can I apply Minwax wipe on Poly to increase the gloss. If I do this will it make the wood appear darker? I all ready have it a little darker than I would like it. I am fairly new to woodworking so any advice will be helpful. When I am done with the table I will post a pic, if I can remember how to change the size.

I have an answer.
If the tung oil has not cured, try wiping it with paint thinner to remove some color. Gloss wipe on poly will definitely increase the gloss. Traditional poly adds more amber color, water based stuff is clearest.

Yes. You can top coat tung oil with any finish after it has cured/dried. Lacquer, pre cat or post cat, shellac, poly, etc. Or you can give it a a few more coats. That will give a low sheen. For more gloss paste wax after the coats of tung oil have cured.
