Please help !! I want to buy my first lathe . I don’t have deep deep pockets for an (Only One lathe ) what make should I buy ??? Delta, craftsman , jet etc . I want a full size variable speed with cast iron bed rails .

REad this review. I have seen others just like this one (review) and I have used the Jet model that this was supposedly based upon. Great for the $$$$.
Woodcentral has a turning forum and several have added a DC motor (from a treadmill) and seem to love it.

Depending on how deep your pockets are, take a look at Oneway, Poolewood, Vicmarc, or Woodfast.
Al, also take a look at Performax. They have a couple of
nice quality lathes at a mid-range price .
