Can you give me any info on this Porter7cable portable power saw? 115 v. AC/DC Model 115. serial # 11926. I am looking for the date of manufacture and a site to post this for sale for collectors of this type of tool. It is in good condition and has the metal carrying case with accessories.

I'm sure you probably know that most of today's tool brands, including Porter Cable, have a long history of being sold to one conglomerate and then another, etc.

When Rockwell bought P-C in 1960 (along with Delta), they deep sixed the brand, but it was brought back some years later when Pentair bought the line.
I am not completely certain, but I think this is an old saw from the pre-Rockwell days -- and not part of the current P-C line which was resurrected by Pentair (which then sold their tool lines to Black and Decker a couple of years ago).
Because of its age and vintage, it may have more value than you might think -- assuming it is in working condition.
Here's more history from the P-C/Delta web site:

I would guess one of the tech people at P-C could give you a date of manufacture if you called them with the Serial number.

I've got a model 150 router/planer kit. The metal carry case is the same style/color/decal as that shown with your saw. The owner's guide (!) shows pictures of other then-current Porter Cable products, one of which is the model 168 saw. The picture of the 168 looks to be nearly identical to the saw that you have. The sheet listing factory authorized service centers has a publication date of 9/60. Hope this helps.
Go to the Old Woodworking Machines web site. Someone there will know your saw.
