Little to lose?
I did a quick "scam check" on clickbank.net, and looked for complaints about John Metz. Nothing big showed up in a quick look. The biggest problem with these DVD collections is how long it takes to find what you want, LOL. If the money-back guarantee is a decent one, seems like for $49 it's a pretty decent gamble. As long as he's not charging $20 for shipping or something dumb like that..... Depends on what kind of stuff you want to build, did you look through the list of categories??
waste of money
I got this set a couple months ago, what a joke. The marketing says he reworked the plans? nonsense. He scanned in plans from old books and magazines. The furniture plans are for 50s-60s era furniture, the kind of plans you would have found in popular science. The shed plans are equally crummy. Trust me this is a waste of your hard earned money.
I have not looked at the other posts but for $50.00 dollers for over,, was it 14,000 plans? I forget.
May be of use for you. I hardly ever use plans as such. As in, never make anything as the plan calles for. Just use for ideas.. The free plans you can get on the Net can be helpful for the idea and the joints used. But looking up 14,000 plans could take a bit of time...
Woodworking plans
I looked at this site and didn't see any examples that would interest me for the money he wants. I would look at the book section on this web site for general furniture construction and technique books and then view the Gallery section to get ideas. I have purchased the Taunton Press book on tables (my wife liked the looks of the coffee table) and found the plan to be very useful.
"Never before
"Never before published" ??? Just look at the examples flashed about the web site. Sure looks like they were scanned in from a variety of different sources. If I had published plans in books or magazines in the past, I'd certainly be wanting to check this out for copyright violations.
