Hello All,
My mother in law has on older secretary cabinet with some hardware I would like to find.
The hinges on the lid allow the supports to extend as you are opening the lid. Does any one have a resource for hardware like this?
Thanks for any help.

Not sure if it will help, but hope so. Failing that, you can email their Customer Service and they may help as well.

if they don't have it they can probably make it.
VanDyke's Restorers had the hardware in their 2004/2005 catalog. If they have it now (which they probably do), they've changed the part number. It's called a Desk Hinge & Metal Pull Out Support, and it's on page 274 of that old catalog. I tried searching for it, but too many hits for me to comb through. Their phone # is 1-800-787-3355. Website is http://www.vandykes.com
I thought rockler might have it also, but it seems to only come as a set with plans:

In search of Secretary hardware
I've used both Ball & Ball and Horton Brass.
In my opinion, Ball and Ball is more reproduction accurate but , Horton has a more economical line available.
Thank you to everyone for your help. I will start making phone calls this morning.
