Hello all, New to the forums here and I think I’m a bit in over my head with a piece of machinery. I’m curious if I should sell it and get something else. This seems to be more of a piece for an advanced or professional craftsman which I am neither. My question is should I sell it and get more basic tools, Id hate to mess this thing up being that some tell me they are really sought after and parts are getting harder to come by.

It depends on where you want to go as a woodworker. There is nothing wrong with having a nice tool to spark your interest and build your workshop around. That tool is capable of fine work. I would have kept it when I started.
Spend time learning about it here: https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/incawoodworking/info

Thanks John and amazing work btw!!! I dont think I will ever reach that level, I like to build farmhouse style tables and such with cheap lumber for gifts and things. I think a lunch box planer and my old craftsman jointer will serve me well in that regard, plus its when and not if I break this machine in some way. Maybe I can fine someone that would appreciate it more than I. Thanks for your input!
That's a beautiful machine on my dream list for one day. Where are you located?
You should give it to me.
