I have an inca 340 which i bought used. I thinks it’s from around 1988 or so. It came with a pretty horribly translated instruction sheet. The wheels and tires are flat not crowned like most saws and I am a bit unsure about how the blade is supposed to track. The instructions suggest the teeth should overhang the wheel but then the guide mechanism and thrust bearings seem to be almost out out of their housings, can someone experienced with this saw offer any advice?
Thanks – Paul

I would try speaking to Jesse Barragan of Eagle Tools in Altadena, CA. He's helpful and has sold these machines for many years.
Eric, Oakland, CA
you might try duginske's bandsaw book also, it is one of the machines he recommends...
Paul,
I have an Inca 710 bandsaw (20") and I believe the tracking setup is similar. I just went and double checked the "FrEnglish" instructions for the 710. On the 710 Inca any blade 1/2 or smaller is centered on the tire, for blades that are wider than 1/2" the teeth should overhang the wheel. It may look strange but it works.
Hope this helps,
Greg
Paul,
I purchased the Inca 340 in 2002 and the instructions say the blade teeth should overhang the rubber tires.

I've used this bandsaw for many years. I always set the tracking so that about 1/8-inch of the teeth is off the tire. BTW, I have had very good luck with the Wood-Slicer blades (Highland Hardware) and Timberwolf (many sources). Never had problems with drift. Nick
